Finnav Is Now on the App Store

Finnav, the free personal finance learning app for Canadian students and new grads, is now available on the iOS App Store. Daily missions, a financial simulator, and bite-sized lessons built for Canada.

If you graduated recently, or you’re about to, you probably know this feeling: your first real paycheck hits, and you realize nobody taught you what to do with it.

TFSA or RRSP? How much for rent? What even is FHSA? Where does investing fit in when you’re also trying to pay off student loans?

Most apps assume you already know this stuff. Most advice on the internet is for Americans. Most financial content is either too basic or overwhelming.

We built Finnav because that gap is real, and it affects a lot of people early in their financial lives.

Today, Finnav is live on the iOS App Store. It is free to download.

What Finnav Does

There are three core parts to the app.

Daily Missions give you one focused task each day. You read a concept, answer a question about your real situation, or make a decision. Each mission takes about five minutes. The sequence is intentional: you start where you actually are, not at some abstract theory level.

The Playground is a safe financial simulator. You can see what happens to your money when you change different variables. What if you put $300 into your TFSA this month instead of paying down your credit card? What if you started saving $100 a month at 22 instead of 26? Play with the numbers. See the outcomes. Then decide.

Learn Cards give you quick, scannable answers to the questions that keep coming up. What is TFSA contribution room. How CPP deductions are calculated. What counts as a capital gain. All written for Canada, with Canadian numbers and rules.

Who It Is For

Finnav is built for Canadians aged 19 to 27 who are just starting to take their finances seriously. If you have just started your first real job, recently got your first paycheck, or realized you have been ignoring your TFSA and are not sure how to catch up, this is where to start.

No prior knowledge required. No financial jargon. No pressure.

Why We Built It for Canada Specifically

Every piece of content in Finnav is built around the Canadian system. TFSA, FHSA, RRSP, CPP, EI, provincial tax brackets, OSAP repayment. You will not hit a lesson about a 401(k) or an HSA. Everything is relevant to where you actually live and work.
